Account
The Account screen (Settings) covers profile, units, handedness, GSCaddie app connection, GSPro Portal sync, player management, scoring baseline, and appearance. It is organized into tabs.
Tray reconnect banner
If you recently changed your password, a banner appears above the tabs warning that GSCaddie on your sim PC has been signed out (Supabase invalidates all refresh tokens on password change). Click "Reconnect GSCaddie" in the banner to push a fresh sign-in to the installed app. Until you do, shots won't stream.
Essentials tab
Profile section
Set or update your display name. Your account ID (UUID) is shown here as a read-only reference.
Units section
Switch between imperial (yards and mph) and metric (meters and km/h). Applies immediately across the entire dashboard.
Handedness section
Set right-handed or left-handed. This flips the interpretation of shot shape, swing path, and drill direction so your Insights and fault detection read correctly for your swing direction.
GSCaddie app section
Four sub-sections:
Reconnect. If GSCaddie stops streaming (session expired, password changed, fresh PC), click here to push a new sign-in to the installed tray app. Only works in the desktop app. From a browser, the message tells you to open GSCaddie on the sim PC.
GSPro Portal. Connects (or reconnects) your GSPro web portal account. Click the button and complete the GSPro sign-in in the window that opens. This enables portal sync: after each round, GSCaddie pulls measured shot data (apex, offline, club delivery metrics) from the portal.
Import historical rounds. Pulls recent rounds from your GSPro Portal into GSCaddie so they appear in your rounds list, trends, and analytics. Requires the portal to be connected first. Imported rounds have round-level stats and per-shot ball/club data from the portal, but not individual putt detail or surface lies (those only come from live ingest). Cross-reference: connect-gspro-portal.
Re-download installer. A download link for the GSCaddie installer. Use this if the app was uninstalled, corrupted, or you are setting up a new sim PC. After installing, use the Reconnect button above to sign it in.
Danger zone section
Account deletion and related destructive actions. Handled by a confirm-guarded component.
Players tab
Who you are in GSPro
A picker showing every GSPro account GSCaddie has seen on your sim PC. Select the one that is you. Everyone else stays as a guest and their shots are kept separate. This is the first thing to set up after installing.
Players with shots on GSCaddie
A list of players whose shots have actually streamed in (shorter than the picker above, which shows all GSPro accounts on the machine). Each entry shows display name, You/Guest tag, shot count, round count, and a truncated GUID.
Actions per player:
- Rename: inline edit.
- This is me: marks this player as the account owner (demotes anyone else who was marked as You).
- Mark as guest: demotes the current "You" player to guest.
- Delete: removes the player entry. Their shots remain in the database but stop appearing in any stats or feeds.

Scoring tab
Strokes-gained target (SG baseline)
This is the handicap level that expected-strokes tables use when computing SG for each shot. It affects every SG number in the app.
Two modes:
- Auto (default): computed from your recent rounds using WHS logic. Refines as you play more.
- Locked: you pick a bucket (Scratch / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 handicap). SG uses that value until you unlock. Use this when you want a stable comparison point regardless of recent play.
The current value is shown large, with a note about whether it is auto-computed or locked. The lock/unlock toggle and bucket picker are both on this section.
Appearance tab
Theme
A grid of color palette options. Each tile shows a preview swatch bar, the palette name, and a tagline. The active theme is highlighted with a "Active" label. Theme is saved to the browser and applies instantly across every screen.
Login tab
Shows your current email (read-only) and a form to request a change. Changing email sends a confirmation link to the new address.
Password
New password and confirm password fields. Passwords must be at least 8 characters and match. After a successful change, a banner prompts you to reconnect the GSCaddie tray app.
Sign out
Signs out of the current browser. Your data remains in place. You can sign back in at any time.
Note on billing: There is no billing section in Account on this branch. Billing features are under development and will appear here once released. See billing-pricing-and-trial for pricing information.
