Connect GSPro Portal

What it is

The GSPro Portal (portal.gsprogolf.com) is GSPro's own web service for round history and shot data. GSCaddie can connect to it on your behalf to pull in club-delivery metrics and historical rounds that are not available from your sim PC alone.

Connecting the portal is optional, but it unlocks a significant part of GSCaddie's analysis.

What the portal adds

From your sim PC, GSCaddie reads ball-side data: ball speed, launch angle, spin, carry distance, and dispersion. It does not include club-delivery data.

After a portal sync, GSCaddie fills in the following shot-level data:

  • Club speed (mph)
  • Attack angle (degrees)
  • Club path (degrees)
  • Face-to-path (degrees)
  • Face-to-target (degrees)
  • Horizontal launch angle (degrees)
  • Descent angle (degrees)

These metrics are what power the club-delivery fault detection in Insights and the drills tied to those faults (club path, attack angle, and face angle patterns). They arrive via the portal regardless of which launch monitor you use.

The portal sync also fills in offline distance and peak height for each shot, and pulls in your course rating and slope so that GSCaddie's WHS-based handicap calculation can run.

What works without it

Core analytics continue to work without a portal connection: strokes gained (ball-side), dispersion, club gapping, shot shape, share cards, trend alerts on carry and ball speed, and the live caddie view.

You will not see club-path or attack-angle fault detection, face-angle drills, or the club-delivery trends in club detail until the portal is connected.

How to connect

During setup. The in-app onboarding walkthrough offers portal connection at step 2 of 5. A GSPro sign-in window opens inside the app; sign in and the window closes on its own when it's done.

After setup. Right-click the GSCaddie tray icon and choose GSPro Portal, or go to Account inside the app. Reconnect works the same way.

Import history

Once connected, you can import up to your 10 most recent completed rounds from the portal. Scores, fairways, greens, putts, and each shot's ball and club data come across. This happens as a one-time step in onboarding (step 4) or you can trigger it from Account later.

Imported rounds are slightly thinner than rounds GSCaddie watched live: putt detail and surface lie data are not available in the portal export.

If the connection breaks

Portal sessions expire. When they do, a reconnect banner appears in the dashboard and the tray menu shows a reconnect option. To fix it: right-click the tray icon, choose Reconnect GSPro Portal, sign in fully, and let the window close on its own (it closes automatically once your session is confirmed). Then choose Sync recent rounds from portal from the same menu.
